Environment
The solar industry uses TiNOX absorbers and Vega mirrors to manufacture products that
will make our energy supply more ecological.
The solar sector is thereby making a big contribution to climate protection.
For instance, it only takes 6 square meters of solar thermal collectors with highly selective TiNOX absorber's to offset 300 litres of heating oil each year, equivalent to a ton of carbon dioxide -- more than a tenth of the carbon dioxide that OECD states admit per capita!

As a supplier of core components for the solar sector,
Almeco-TiNOX naturally works to make do with few resources, minimize carbon emissions, and look for ways to further improve its ecological footprint.
In this way, Almeco-TiNOX fulfils its responsibility to protect the natural world.
Already, carbon emissions in the production of absorbers and solar mirrors are very low because the vacuum coating processes are
extremely energy-efficient.
For instance, Almeco-TiNOX only needs one kilowatt-hour of energy to produce a square meter of absorber substrate.
A single sunny day is enough to get back the energy invested!
Unlike electrochemical deposition processes for black chrome absorbers, there are no emissions from our coating processes, nor does any toxic waste pollute air and water.
Not even disposal changes the ecological footprint of Almeco-TiNOX; the absorber substrate is simply recycled.
